SOUND HEALING

Sound Healing

Tibetan hand-hammered singing bowls produce vibrations that touch us on a cellular level.

From East Asian temple bells, to Tibetan monasteries, and all the way to Tampere to heal you. Singing bowls have been used for well-being for thousands of years. Sound bowl therapy is a holistic treatment where the vibrations of the bowls heal the person as a whole – mind, body, and soul.

So, what exactly happens in the body?

Depending on the size of the body, we are about 45–75% water.  The vibrations of the bowls move through the body's fluids, thus vibrating comes down on the cellular level. High-pitched sounds and vibrations calm the body and communicate with our nervous system to activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest system).

During relaxation, sound waves affect our brainwaves, causing them to lower and rise from the Beta state (awake) to the Alpha state (dreaming), and sometimes brainwaves can even drop to the Theta state (half sleep). During this time, the body begins its own healing process. A deep relaxation session can be equivalent to three hours of deep sleep.

I have seven Tibetan singing bowls, each attuned to one of the seven main chakras/ energy centers. With these, I can perform a variety of treatments for the whole body or focus on a specific area. Whether it's relief from insomnia, stress, anxiety, or easing bodily pain, or simply a moment of relaxation. The singing bowls nurture you and bring lightness to both your body and mind.

"It's not always what you want, but always what you need"

Sound healing therapies

Sound healing therapy
This is a deep relaxation session where you simply get to relax. The treatment involves placing the bowls next to your body and occasionally on top of it. During the relaxation, the high sounds and vibrations from the singing bowls reduce stress, release muscle tension, and ease various pain conditions. Sound bowl therapy is available for one or two people.

Sound healing / Sound bath
This is also a deep relaxation session where you simply get to be as you are. The bowls are placed in the room so that you and everyone else can experience the vibrations and enjoy the sounds of the bowls. During the relaxation, the vibrations from the bowls help to reduce stress, release muscle tension, and alleviate various pain conditions. Sound bowl relaxations are for groups of 3 to 30 people.

When are Sound healing therapies not recommended?
Sound healing is not recommended if you have cancer or are undergoing cancer treatment. They should also be avoided if you have a pacemaker or if high-pitched sounds affect your heart's functioning. If you are pregnant, sound healing therapy is not recommended. However, you can participate in sound baths as long as you have first consulted with your doctor. If you have any medical condition and are unsure whether sound therapy is suitable for you, please consult your doctor first.
